Junior Artisans News and Events

Hello Juniors!  Well, the time has come. This is my last column as your Junior Activities  Chairman. We’ve had some great times together and a lot of fun these past  two years. I’m moving up to Most Excellent Master Artisan and you will  have a new chairman, our soon-to-be Most Excellent Superintendent Tom  DiLauro. Tom has some great ideas for future events and would love to hear  any ideas that you might have.

I would like to thank all of you Juniors for supporting the Artisans with your  presence at the events. You are what makes the activities so enjoyable. Thanks  to the moms and dads for ensuring our Juniors didn’t miss any of the good  times. Thank you also to the officers and members of the Artisans that pitch in  without hesitating to make sure the events run smoothly. And finally, a big thank you  to our Fraternal Activities Director and Most Excellent Master Artisan Pat Green for his tireless  efforts making sure we all have a good time. I will still be coming out to the Junior activities and looking  forward to seeing all my young friends.

      Fraternally yours,  Harry Flanagan

Letter from 2007 Miss Artisan

Being Miss Artisan has been a very rewarding experience.

I started my competition in 2006 and even  though I did not win Miss Artisan, I had a wonderful  fun-filled weekend at Ocean City, New Jersey. That  year I won the Joan Geary Memorial Scholarship  Award. I also received money from the Artisans and  Delaware County Assembly, which is the Assembly I  represented. This year’s pageant was even more  exciting for me because I got to share the experience  with my little sister, Samantha. The pageant had  many sisters competing; it was a family affair. I was  thrilled to be chosen as Miss Artisan of 2007. The  pageant and weekend are jam-packed with activities  and is really a lot of fun. I have received scholarship  money and a life insurance policy. I have also been  an invited guest to all the Artisan’s many events. I  encourage all girls to join in the fun and come compete  next June in Ocean City. I know you’ll find it as  rewarding as I have. Thanks Artisans for a wonderful  year and all your support.

  Shara Stephenson  Miss Artisan 2007
